Swap the stems, add a table, drop the arch. Adjust it yourself or on the phone with Meg, right up to six weeks before the day.
Step three
Hold it for £150.
The deposit comes off the total and it is the only thing due until four weeks out. We take twenty-two weddings a year and no more.

Why the prices are on the page
Every florist we knew made couples book a consultation before they would say a number. We understood why — every wedding is different — but it meant people spent an evening with us before finding out we were out of their reach, and we spent an evening on a wedding we were never going to do.
So we published them. It costs us the quotes we would have talked people into, and it saves us the ones we would have wasted a night on. Both of us think that is the better trade.
Quick answers to the things everybody asks
Most of ours land between £1,800 and £4,500. The bottom of that is bouquets, buttonholes and jars on the tables; the top adds a dressed arch, aisle flowers and a long-table runner. The prices on this page are the real ones, so you can add up your own before you speak to us.
Twelve to eighteen months for a Saturday between May and September; those go first. Anything else, six months is comfortable. We have taken a wedding on with nine weeks' notice and it was fine — ask, the worst we can say is that the date has gone.
Anything, up to six weeks before. After that the flowers are ordered from the growers and we cannot unorder them, though we can usually still swap colours within what has come in. Changing the date is free once; we will do our best after that.
No. Plenty of people take the bouquets and buttonholes and do the tables themselves with buckets from us the day before, which is much cheaper and often looks lovely. There is no minimum spend. There is a £95 delivery and set-up charge outside twenty miles of Harrogate.
Between June and September, mostly from a half-acre plot outside Kirkby Overblow and two other Yorkshire growers. Outside that we buy Dutch, and we will tell you which is which rather than pretend otherwise in February.
