We do not stock anything we would not drink ourselves. That means gaps.

There is no Prosecco on the shelf and there probably never will be. There are, however, eleven different Beaujolais, which tells you most of what you need to know about us.

We buy from about thirty growers, most of them small enough that we deal with the person whose name is on the label. If a wine is good and cheap we say so. If it is good and expensive we say that too, and tell you what the extra buys.

Tell us what you are eating and roughly what you want to spend and we will hand you a bottle and explain why. That is the whole service and it costs nothing.

Every Thursday at seven we open six bottles and talk about them for two hours. No spitting, no notebooks, no nonsense. Ten seats. Email to hold one, or put your name on the sheet by the till.
